Gear We Love The Most 2008 Winner! Krell KID and Papa Dock Krell’s KID iPod doc, especially when paired with the matching PAPADOC amplifier, takes the most convenient and relevant audio source of the last 20 years and actually improves its performance in a meaningful way. While an SACD or DVD-Audio disc is always going to sound better than an MP3 player, your music collection on your iPod or iPhone is always going to have better music on it so being able to get that music into your audiophile system with more audiophile grade performance at a very fair price makes the Krell KID/PAPADOC AVRev.com’s Gear We Love Most award winner for 2008 . manufacturer: Transparent Audio category: Feature Article review date: August 2000 reviewed by: Bryan Southard An Exercise in the State of the Art at Transparent Audio Last month when on a business trip to a suburb of Boston, I took the better part of a day to visit Transparent Audio in Saco, Maine. Transparent had offered a tour of their state-of-the-art facility the next time I happened to be on the East Coast, so once plans to travel to the New England area were confirmed, I set up a visit. This was a pleasure trip, not business, and a chance to play in a room rumored to be one of the best listening facilities in the world, an opportunity I couldn't resist.

title: Tomlinson Holman’s Latest Experiment category: Feature Article reviewed by: Kim Wilson Tomlinson Holman’s Latest Experiment A young woman approaches the tall, sandy-haired gentleman in the unassuming and uncorporate-like Polo shirt and khaki pants. She shakes his hand and expresses her genuine appreciation: "Thank you so much for THX. When my friends and I go the movies, we always look for the THX logo to ensure we’re getting the best sound." Returning her praise with a smile, Tomlinson Holman, the creator of Lucasfilm’s THX technology, remarks he’s pleased she’s received so much enjoyment.
